DIRT RACING SERIES IS EVOLVING WITH A THRILLING NEW DRS GRAND CHAMPIONSHIP
First of all, we would like to let everyone know that registration for Season 8 will open this weekend!
Secondly, we’re thrilled to share a massive evolution in the DIRT Racing Series: the introduction of the DRS Grand Championship!
WHAT DOES THIS MEAN?
Instead of running a standalone Season every DRS, we’ll be creating an overarching DRS Grand Championship that consists out of 4 Seasons. In short this means the following:
Season leaderboards: Team and Individual Season Leaderboards, each Season with its own winners.
Grand Championship leaderboards: Team and Individual DRS Grand Championship Leaderboards, with the accumulated scores of each Season.
Returning teams: Returning teams add Season scores and Championship Points to the DRS Grand Championship’s Team Leaderboard, counting the best 3 of 4 Total Championship Points.
Returning riders: Returning riders add Season scores and Championship Points to the DRS Grand Championship’s Individual Leaderboards (Overall, Sprint, KOM), with the best 3 of 4 Championship Points counting.
Ties: New rules will break DRS Grand Championship ties for clear winners.
Season Finale: We will immortalize the DRS Grand Championship winners on our Wall of Fame!
DRS GRAND CHAMPIONSHIP – SEASON SCHEDULE:
Season 6: Just finished (former DRS S6)
Season 7: Jan 23rd to Feb 27th
Season 8: April 9th to May 14th
PLEASE NOTE:
As you might’ve noticed this DRS Grand Championship “only” covers 3 Seasons. We want to give everyone a fair shot at the DRS Grand Championship Leaderboards so we won’t include DRS S5. The “best 3 out of 4” rule for the DRS Grand Championship Leaderboards will still apply though, so all of the 3 seasons (S6 to S8) will count for the DRS Grand Championship Leaderboards.
