Season 8 is around the corner, and we’re as excited as you are!
Big shoutout to those who already filled out our Season 7 Survey. Seriously, thank you! If you haven’t yet, you’ve got until Sunday March 10th at 23:59 UTC to drop your thoughts.
From the feedback gathered so far, we will be making the following changes for Season 8:
INCREASED WEIGHT ON FINISH POINTS
We’re taking the FIN Scoring Table of Season 6 and will increase the points per finish position by 20%, rounded up. Yes, this is indeed what we promised to do for Season 7… but then we screwed up made a mistake and added 20 points to each position instead. We’ll make things right, promise!
DECREASED vELO UPGRADE LIMIT
We’re decreasing the above-category limit to 35 ranking points and will be keeping a close eye on rider progression and upgrades throughout the season.
CHANGED TTR SCORING FOR TEAMS <4 RIDERS
No more time penalties on teams without 4-riders in TTR races to give smaller teams a fighting chance. Of course we don’t want large teams to only deploy their strongest riders, so instead we’re applying a League point deduction for teams with less than 4 TTR riders, based on the amount of riders missing in the TTR. We believe this is the best way to get the balance right, but of course we’ll be collecting feedback about this change at the end of Season 8.
